Psychotherapy for Adolescents
Are You an Adolescent or the Parent of One?
Navigating this time of life can be challenging, mostly because so many of us think of adolescence as something to get through and hope for the best.
How I Am Qualified to Guide You
I am a high school English teacher by day, so I’ve been “hanging out” with adolescents for nearly 30 years in a classroom setting. I even teach the book, Brainstorm, by Dr. Daniel Siegel to students in my Conflict Resolution course. I’ve also completed Dr. Siegel’s online class entitled, “Brainstorm Intensive: A Practical Understanding for Keeping the Adolescent Brain in Mind.”
Let’s Learn How to Navigate the Adolescent Years!
Adolescence can certainly feel scary to both the adolescent and the parent, but it doesn’t have to be. With some understanding of how the brain grows and functions from ages 12-24, we can gain some knowledge and learn the skills to navigate this time with less chaos and more peace.
